The Montara Experience

Private, Group-only Retreats on a 130+ acre Private Ranch with miles of trails, mountain and pastoral vistas.

Montara only rents to one group at a time, from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 40 persons. The buildings are secluded and surrounded by gardens, orchards and forests.

Hosts/Owners live on the property, but will not be in your space. They help plan comprehensive and effective retreats and are available to help, or leave you to just enjoy.

Hosts will coordinate catering, food service, onsite and offsite activities, reservations, etc. They use their experience to help you plan time, activities, meeting structure and all the little things that make for effective retreats.

Montara buildings are residential and are replicas of 1840’s era farm and ranch buildings, beautifully furnished with antiques and locally made furniture and artwork. The property has a 6000 sq. ft. ranch house with expansive covered porches, a 14 room converted stable, and a 1200 sq. ft. conservatory/media room are together in one compound with a Pennsylvania Bank Barn replica a few walking minutes away housing a huge open span meeting/rec room. The pool, tennis/pickleball court, ping pong/foosball and yoga terrace are in the rec complex.
